These aren't the best shots of this 150 year old beauty, but they'll have to do. My sister Carolyn (whose family currently lives in the house while on a one year military assignment) recently researched and wrote a fabulous history of the home in an effort to save it from pending demolition. News has spread and she made the front page of the local newspaper in Carlisle!

We bought the Y from Amelia's Floral in Draper, which has now gone out of business. I'll never forget driving by one day, seeing the Y (and a U) on display, flipping an immediate U-turn and buying it on the spot! I believe the man who makes them still sells them--just have to find his business card somewhere...
It was a little bit of heaven having all the family here at the farmhouse on Easter Sunday enveloped by a fresh spring afternoon. I believe the farmhouse was happy too. :-)
